Account and Data Deletion

This page explains how you can request deletion of your account and associated data from the KitchenAI app, operated by KITCHEN AI SYSTEMS LTD.

How to request account deletion

To delete your KitchenAI account and associated data, follow these steps:

  1. From within the app: Go to Settings → Delete Account and confirm. This will immediately erase your profile and all associated app data from your device and our servers.
  2. If you no longer have access to the app: Email us at privacy@kitchenai.co.uk with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please include the email address you used to register with KitchenAI so we can identify your account.

We will process your request and confirm once your data has been deleted. We aim to respond to all deletion requests within one month. We may ask for additional information to confirm your identity before completing a deletion request.

You can also request deletion of certain app data without deleting your Kitchen AI account. This may include saved preferences, food inventory data, basket data, app activity, points, streaks or other stored app information, where deletion is technically possible and not required for legal, security or compliance reasons.

What data is deleted

When you request account deletion, KitchenAI will delete or anonymise the following data:

  • First name and profile details
  • Email address
  • Dietary preferences and health goals
  • Food inventory and basket items
  • Shopping list and saved app preferences
  • Meal history and completed recipes
  • Feedback linked to your profile
  • Reward points and streak records
  • AI usage records linked to your profile

What data may be retained

Some limited records may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, reward administration, dispute resolution, tax, accounting or compliance purposes. This includes:

  • Anonymised analytics data (not linked to your identity)
  • Records required for fraud prevention or security investigations
  • Records required to comply with legal or tax obligations

Retained data is kept only for the minimum duration required by law, after which it is permanently deleted or anonymised.
